New Look, Same Blog

The PhD Blog has been on the go since 2009. It started life as a set of FAQs for potential doctoral students in Business and Management studies. It has since grown a life of its own with over 250,000 people having visited the site. To make it easier to find, the URL has changed to and it has a new look and feel. There's even a new logo for the site. I hope that you like the new formatting and continue to find the blog a great resource for questions and experiences relating to all things doctoral. Special thanks to Rodrigo Perez Vega for helping with the relaunch. Have a look around and try some of the other resources and sites that link to Meantime, how can you tell that you've been working too hard on your PhD? When you suggest reading Snow White et al. to your children, nieces, nephews or grandchildren!

Good luck with your PhD Journey

  1. Dear Professor Maclntosh. Congratulations on the new outlook for the blog. I surely have benefited from it and from the many references & insights throughout it - many thanks for that and I am sure this will continue to occur.

Exactly 5 days ago, and with minor corrections to be done in one month, I passed my viva (University of Glasgow - Adam Smith Business School). I was fortunate to attend some of your talks/seminars whilst your time as a Professor there.

I will keep visiting this blog, there is zero doubt about it.

    Thank you kindly.

  2. Congratulations Haitham ... or should I say Dr Al-Sheeshany ... I am delighted for you.

    1. Thank you Professor Maclntosh, thank you very much.
